The ingame message when you enter RA is very clear:

To report a teammate for leaching, select an INACTIVE teammate and type /report. Abuse of this feature may result in your account being banned.

"Leeching" or "Leaching", which is it? What does "critisise" mean? And don't get me started on lack of punctuation. You're an idiot.

If you're better then me at the game, why is it that nobody even knows who you are?

When they say "Abuse of this feature may result in your account being banned." they mean people who create macros to auto-report people, or people who just report everyone. People who go above and beyond to abuse the system. If you honestly think people who report you are going to get banned, that's hilarious.

Personally, I would've reported everyone on the opposing team for not having the foresight to bring any enchantment removal. Basically rule one for me whenever I go into RA.

I went to RA today to check out the new changes.

FYI- Never going again.

The problem with this report system is the same problem that runs in the American Government, and democratic forms of ruling everywhere. Putting decisions in the hands of people.

People don't know how to make good decisions.
This is because people are not educated/refuse to educate themselves on how to make a good decision.
People make Bad decisions because of the above.
Somone else suffers for this ignorance.

No, someone does not suffer every time, but Anet, disregardless of all opinions, is not perfect, and does not catch everything.

A Bad decision, reporting someone using a build you think is deliberately bad.

You have no proof.
You have an opinion
An opinion is not fact.
Things less than fact are not good enough for them to dicate the guilt of others.

Character motion tracker ftw. Just check if they stay in the gate all the game. If so, they're leeching. If they're out there fighting, then don't penalize them. Simple as that.

I should start reporting people for using bad skills. Me + 1 other and that is points in RA.

Also Monk did not heal me, report. No rez, report. Running a non flavor of the week build, report.

Guess no more self destruction Dervish build for me.

I completely agree with the concept that you should be able to run any build you feel like in Random Arena, if people want certain teams, well theres Team Arena for that.

Reporting someone as a leecher because your team loses or you don't like their build is just wrong and I know it's going to happen. I recall a few weeks ago randomly taking my warrior into RA and some necro telling me I suck and it's my fault we got in a stalemate match, then whispered me insulting me and telling me to never PvP again.

Funny I just went and used the same build on my warrior and got 8 wins in a row fairly easily in RA. People just need to lose this elitist attitude and accept the fact you cannot be perfect or win every match.

stuff needing addressing:
* Newbies having suxors builds: Few people start pvping rightaway, by time they choose to PvP in RA, they should have idea what is really stupid and what is not. If they get harased a lot for their build ... they should take hint and improve. PvP premade builds are kinda decent and can be played with 0 time invested, so it not like newbies dont have jumpstart possibility. They definitelly do not need to use "cheap nuker" stuff.
* People reporting everyone just for sake of doing it. If you didnt notice, reporting someone gives you dishonor too unless 3 others agree with you. Being report-everything jerk hurts you more than your victims.

First, I'd just like to say that I LOVE the new system. I've actually been able to play fun normal matches, with no leavers or leechers.
The fact that RA is PACKED with districts right now proves that most people agree with me.

To the OP. Face it, what you are doing is griefing. Even if you are enjoying it and having fun, you are ruining the game for your teammates.
The only valid point you have is that there should be a report option for griefing.

This thread was an intended flame fest from the original post. Even if there is something to discuss about the new system, this thread is not doing it.

This thread really needs to be closed.. If you want to discuss the flaws of the system, you should do it civilized thread, and not a "I can't run my crappy builds anymore!!1" thread

If you played with PvE pugs, you'd realise PvE players simply do not learn what sucks, because PvE isn't hard enough for it to matter. By the time they try out PvP, they are still using builds that suck, because they simply did not learn in PvE. Also, premade builds don't exist anymore, they were gone when they added the 'j' menu.

This definitely needs to be addressed. This is itself griefing - giving people dishonour points for doing nothing wrong.

Whenever you start new pvp character he has 5 skills equiped, including res sig and elite skill. That are new premades.

Yes, most pug people suck bigtime in PvE, thats why they should receive feedback ... even if it is as harsh /report spike. Also, they would still be tons better than bad builds people present here, so would run a lot less risk being reported.

But point is, even if you have little resources to get perfect build, you have enough resources to put together something that does not suck.

Besides, feture is new and people are triggerhappy. give it week and the only person consistently reported would be bhavv.

People are used to leave in RA because they dont wanna play with bad players with bad builds. But now people get reported as griefing because they run bad builds?

well I honestly think this is part of the reason its a test period. to make see how much its abused... I mean using a dumb build is not a report offense... Its just poor judgment... ATM the attitude is do what we want or we all report you... again. this will not help PvP. I think its a step in the right direction. but the problem is social not technological atm. this may help curb some of the social strife and grief in PvP in time, but the knee jerk reaction is going to be bad for a while as people use it for punishment just because they can, and think someone is stupid... Good thing the punitive action is not permanent. basically makes for a time out for a while. Ultimately that may be a good thing for people to chill out after a disastrous argument with others in the game.

not bad playing ability
